In first gear, I gently toed the gas pedal…the wheels spun and dug deeper into the wet snow underneath my Mistubishi Endeaver.

In a bit of a panic, I quickly kicked it in reverse.

Drive. Reverse. Drive. Reverse…the wheels spun again.
